Internationally-acclaimed organist Wyatt Smith returns for a personally-curated performance of Bach’s most extensive and significant  organ collection, the Clavier-Ubüng III. Sometimes called the “German Organ Mass” this expansive collection ranges from the traditional stile antico to the more modern French Chorale style in some of most technically-demanding music Bach ever wrote for the organ. This performance will feature both the Fritts organ in Kilworth Chapel and a small portative organ by Robert Wech.

Trío Guadalevín explores the musical dialogue between Indigenous, European, and African cultures that define Latin American identity. With memorable stories and an incredible array of instruments from the Americas, Africa, and Europe, the trio weaves together a tapestry of music, languages, culture, history, and geography. They move seamlessly between the past and present, employing a mix of contemporary, folkloric, and historic melodies sung in Spanish, Zapotec, and Ladino, which ride on rhythms from Afro-Mexican son jarocho to Arab-Andalusi melodies, Sephardic lullabyes and Moroccan shabia.

For the festival finale, the TBF Orchestra and Chorus takes a musical look at our natural world through three works that span the centuries: Bach’s Es wartet alles auf dich, BWV187, Reena Esmail’s Even After All This Time, and Alex Berko’s powerful new work for chorus, violin, and piano, Sacred Place. Join the TBF Orchestra and Chorus for an exciting musical evening that ponders our role as stewards of the earth.
